Who else is pissed that Brighthouse and Time Warner Cable (brighthouse's parent) are canceling all viacom programming since they cant agree to a new contract? The deadline is midnight tonight so you better watch/tivo what you can.

Bright House May Lose 19 Channels Tonight Over Impasse

Call or email them and tell them we want our nick. My kids are quite upset, what a way to start off the year....

Default TV Land

I love TV Land especially the Sunday night shows, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, LA Law.......I could watch them over and over.

Bah Humbug.......on Brighthouse, their closing down the lights on some good shows.

My kids will be upset that MTV is going dark.

Does that mean we'll get a rate decrease? No channels no fees.

Bet by midnight the shows will still be on, Brighthouse doesn't want a upraising on their hands. Good drama for them.

I don't know. Right now here in Bradenton, TV Land is just a black screen. It's the first of what I believe is going to happen at 12:01am. It's disgusting if you ask me.

I, for one, hope Brighthouse blacks out the entire Viacom Network and then offers it as premium services so I don't have to pay for programs I don't like or watch any way. And Viacom was asking for a 22%-36% increase per channel in a down economy...what are they thinking?

Well I don't. There are programs that I watch like TV Land & Nike at Nite, and Spike. If Bright House offers them as premium services, then I'll have to pay more to watch them anyway, and I will lose those channels. If Bright House agrees to Viacom's terms (which I don't agree with), I will have to pay more. Just accept it BHN!!

I foresee people switching to Verizon in droves come Friday if Bright House doesn't keep these channels...

Chances are I'll be one of them. With a toddler in the house, there is no way I'm going to keep paying for BH cable if we don't get NOGGIN or Nick Jr.

Interestingly enough, I just checked Verizon's website and at first glance it appears as though their bundles are cheaper than BH.

Just so you know this isn't another "oh this crap only happens in Florida", this is a national problem with many cable carriers right now. Warner Cable customers are facing the exact samething.
