My husband 5 children and mystelf are moving to St. Pete area. We need to be within about 100 miles or so of the college. He is going back to school to be a funeral director and can work in any small town. I teach school and would like to get into a good small school down there. We have looked at Inverness, Brooksville, and as far down as Seebring. PLEASE HELP!A couple of issues we need worked out:

1. We are looking of for a small community with good schools. Our kids are Jr. High and Elem. Ages. Yougest in 1st grade. I have read schools in FL are terrible. I don't believe any school is bad when you are there helping educate! Is there any insight you can give on that. ANYONE LOOKING FOR HELP?

2. We are also looking for a rental house. 4 BR at least. What would be a good price range to look at. I see a lot of new construction homes for rent (I guess homes that they tried to flip and now can't) for under 1000/mth in Brooksville/Spring Hill area. Does anyone know about that? ANYONE HAVE AHOME FOR US TO LOOK AT? We still have to sell our home, but we figure renting would be best until he finishes his schooling.

3. We live in a 1500 person community. Big areas are going to scare the out of the kids! WHERE DO WE GO~!

Thanks for any help you could give!

I definately would not go to Brooksville area , if you will go to school in St Pete. RIverview and Brandon in Tampa Area area has lots of new homes for rent and you could catch cross town to St Pete.
