Be more specific then. Is it hard to get a doctor here? In terms of what? Picking up the phone and calling for an appointment is relatively easy. I don't know what your insurance situation is but it shouldn't be too difficult to make an appt.

The more info you provide the better the rest of us can advise you.

Here is is very difficult finding a doctor that is taking new patients. Lots of people end up in the ER or at a walk in clinic. I am wondering if it is the same way in Florida. I don't care to go to walk in clinic and would prefer a family doctor.
Thanks

Oh. Ok. You shouldn't have too much of a problem here. I think most doctors are still taking new patients. I know the good ones are. I live in the Brandon/Valrico area and go to one of the top rated Doctors and have no problem getting in same day so if you come to this area I would highly recommend Dr. Steven Parks. He is taking new patients and the service is outstanding.

This thread is helpful to me, since I'll be wintering in Dunedin starting next fall. Yes, it's hard to find a GP here in Toronto. I'm hoping we will do most of medical stuff while we're here in Canada, but it's nice to know we can find someone when and if we need them. And yes, we'll be buying medical insurance while we're outside of Canada.

We've never found it hard. Finding one you like that takes your brand of insurance makes it take a bit longer.
