Can someone just give me a breakdown of what all these are? I could easily "Google" everything, but I'd rather get an explanation from real people. I know that CDD fees have something to do with community development, just don't have that kind of thing here in the NE. Also, I know HOA fees are Home Owners Association fees, but what exactly are they for an d does everyone pay them in every town in the Tampa area? I have no clue what this incorporated town business is. I just want to know what all this is before we start looking into real estate down there.

Thanks again

I could easily explain these to you but what would be the fun in that? I dont know what I would be telling you thats different than what google would tell you. Now if you had a specific community or subdivision name, that would be different, but if you dont know what a CCD does or is, then search is you new best friend.

Besides google, there is a really neat search function on these forums that will provide loads of information. You aren't the first person to ask this question.

In case you actually read this far, HOA pays for enforcement of community laws, collections, community designs standards and restrictions, etc, while CCD's pay for infastructure and common area maintenance, privacy walls and gates, etc... And not everyone pays the fees, they are specific to certain developments or subdivisions, although most newer areas have them as thats how they pay for all the nice pools, playgrounds, clubhouses...

An incorporated town is a "real" town with a mayor, police dept, etc etc etc An unincorporated town is just a small area with houses and maybe a post office, but it is not its own city.
