Hi everyone,
I'm new to the boards and I really hope that I can learn some stuff so I may make informed decisions. I'm finally finishing my thesis and my husband and I are ready to get out of Morgantown, WV. My husband is a nurse and I have my undergrad. in Interior Design and Master's in Healthcare Design. We love Florida and are thinking about moving down there.

We have been looking at Tampa, but we have no idea if it's a good place to go or where to live or what it is like to live there. We also like the Destin area so it's a hard decision. We know we like Destin b/c we vacation there but, I didn't know if Tampa

Could anyone tell me about the pros and cons of Tampa and where are good communities to live? Is St. Petersburg nice? What about Clear Water?

I've been living in Clearwater for about 13 years and it's been great. Great people and very little crime. You can bike around in the middle of the night and will probably get mugged 1 out of ever 100 times. Not bad compared to other cities.

I haven't lived in Destin but I will give it a shot. Destin is relative small and there are not a lot of businesses that aren't geared towards tourist. The weather is often cooler in the winter.

Tampa is much bigger, has corporate business and does not rely on tourist to survive. St Pete and the other cities on the gulf of Mexico are tourist driven, but there are also other businesses. You also have a population of retirees who winter in the area.
