How much is fair for this service?
i've called a few places.....

blue shuttle says 75 (both ways for two people) but it's a van with many other people....takes longer.
another service is for a private car.....for 85 both ways!

any other ideas?

Are you going to a hotel or residence?

Try Supershuttle.com

from St. Pete to Tampa (or vice-versa) it only costs me 25.00 before tip (according to the site, only 12.00 for each additional person, as well)

right....so 25+12=37 each way....ie. ~75 bucks both ways as i mentioned.

the thing is that a taxi company (the one that's 85) said that the van shuttles take 3.5 hours cause they have to drop 10 people off....which sounded like total BS to me. i mean, 3.5 hours? come on!

Chances are you're not going to get lots cheaper....most taxis are around the same rate.... bus is the next best option, but that's crowded, and may not work due to amount of personal items.

You're in a tourist area, take it or leave it, Moderator cut: ..

Default Clearwater beach taxis- absolute mess!!!

becareful before you booked your cab with hotel front desks in clearwater beach!!! they all ripping you off!!! they tell you the amount which is higher than supposed to be just because later cab drivers pay them $15-25 finders fee for the trip to tampa airport!! what a BS!!! look for your cab/taxi through internet!!! just google clearwater taxi on your phone and find out what are real prices and pick one you like!!!
