Great to hear about that. I like Tampa to live and I find most residents here feel the same.

"66% of its days were recorded as sunny"

How is that a bad thing? Seattle has like 66% of its days as CLOUDY and RAINY but some how it topped Tampa AND Orlando???

Key West doesn't have nice beaches either but you are right about the rest.

Silly list. Denver is #1.

I'm in the Tampa fanboy chorus. I like the heat and humidity, being wet does not bother me, I know I am not drying out and shriveling up.

I went to the Lowery Zoo $5 day with my family. Hot, humid, swampy smelling, and extremely crowded. I loved it. I found the people friendly and interesting. I struck up conversations with some nice people. Beautiful to watch families having fun together. The delight my granddaughters exhibited feeding the long-tongued giraffe made any discomfort well worth it; another great memory for grampa's treasury.

We went to Siesta Key beach last week. Depression Debbie had washed up a great deal of seaweed along the pristine beach and out in the water. The kids had a ball chasing the little fish that were hiding under the floaters. I almost caught a crab that was in the flotilla. Amazing how those tiny pincers could cause me to be overly cautious. A Deadly Catch man I am not.

Life is never going to be perfect down here, but there sure is a lot to enjoy if you look for it.

Tampa has it's attributes for those looking for a large town- Pinellas side hands down, wonder if that was included in the " Tampa" thing? because Tampa has only 2 little beaches- BenT Davis and Picnic island?

I'm sure it included Pinellas if they were talking beaches. Usually people from out of town refer to the whole Bay area as Tampa … they don't separate out St. Pete, Clearwater, etc. from the city of Tampa. Either way, I love it all. Tampa has amazing character … Pinellas has incredible beaches. The Tampa Bay area is a GREAT place to be all the way around.
