I''m looking for a family-friendly community for my 4th grade daughter and myself. We have friends in Riverview who we'll be visiting frequently. They recommended Fishhawk Ranch as a place where there's a lot of kids and friendly neighbors and good schools. Would anyone have an idea if there are some single moms in Fishhawk? Or suggestions of other towns where single moms might fit in socially? I'm also interested if anyone knows of any private elem/middle schools in the area with small classes and extra academic support.

I'm a fan of walkable communities and public transportation, and my house budget is around $250k. Renting initially is a possibility, but I'd like to rent in a neighborhood where I can afford to buy down the road.

Buy in Riverview-it's a good suburb area loaded with families!

I am sure Fishhawk has single moms, but it is more expensive out there so assuming there are more married women who stay at home, I know a couple out there.
It is a nice area with good schools, but there are plenty of nice areas with good schools in Riverview.

Examine neighborhoods that are convenient to your place of employment to see what the options are for schools. Traffic can be horrendous; minimizing your commute will add to your quality of life.
