I have lived in Pinellas County for the last 12 years, minus 4 in between for college. My significant other has lived in St. Pete her entire life.

We're currently house hunting and have been focusing on Southeast Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, and St. Pete as primary locations due to job locations... I being in Tampa and her being in St. Pete.

Now we are both well aware of the reputation Pinellas Park has. However, we found a new home that fit our needs on 57th Street about 6-7 blocks north of Park Blvd. I am quite concerned about the neighborhood. Aside from the few new homes that were built, the rest of the neighborhood is far from appealing.

Just curious in seeing if anyone has experience with that particular area or zip code of 33781.

Sadly we missed out on a perfect home in Pinellas Farms which seemed like a far more ideal location.

Do you have any interest at schools? My husband and I are searching for homes also. We, like everybody have more questions than answers at this point, but some friends were telling us that is hard to find some schools around that area.

If you don't have kids at that age or are not planning that is not a big deal. But just in case

You said that you've lived in Tampa area for a long time. Do you know if Bahama Shores is a good deal for living. We just saw some pictures but we never went there...
