Electric Bill in Tampa?!?! PLEASE HELP (Safety Harbor: apartment, condo, appliances)

My family and I (2 adults and 7 yr old) are moving to Tampa in July. We are moving into a 2 bedroom apt (950 sq feet), washer/dryer, dishwasher, central air. We are trying to get a rough idea of what the electric bill is in Tampa...any help from anyone would greatly be appreciated....Thanks to everyone in advance!!!!

I would think no more than $150 a month dependent upon what you keep the a/c set at and what floor the apartment is on. Top floor usually uses more elec.

I pay between $115 and $190 a month for a 2500 sq ft house. I don't use the a/c/ much though but I do have a pool and wash and dry clothes for 4 people.

If you are good at math or that type of thing, the best source is the horses mouth!! Ask the Tampa Electrical authority what the current watt cost is! then multiply this by your square foot and you will get a general idea! Plus the large appliances usage watts on a 30 day cycles. Also, ask for taxes, which increase the bill.

Or perhaps simpler, just look at what your usage watts are now and then times it by the Tampa prices.

Then compare it to where you are now!!

We pay approxx. $ 160.- during the Summer month for a 3500 sqft home (2 stories), and I agree it comes down to how cool you want to have it inside...I hate cold!

3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1600 sq. ft. home.

Summer = June, July, August, September = $210.00

All the rest of the months = $100.00

I have put compact florescents in all the light fixtures.

You must have your A/C running a lot....

I run my air a lot and washer & dryer and my bill is around $90.-$120. a month. I'm on the budget plan and pay $59.00 a month year round. about 950 sq. ft. condo.
