Hey everyone,

Moving to Dunedin on June 27th. I am curious what the drive is like in the morning 7-9ish from Dunedin to Clearwater. Might be getting a job at the hospital in Clearwater (if not Dunedin Mease) and am curious of what kind of time I'm looking at. What are the quicker routes or least congested? Is the drive down 19 pretty bad or managable? Columbus, Ohio traffic is no treat so it's nothing new to me. Just curious on how long of a morning drive I am looking at.

Also may have to drive out to Safety Harbor rather than Clearwater. Would this be pretty comparable traffic also?

Thank you kindly!

You will be fine. That is one of the best stretches of 19, overpasses and such. Depending on where in Dunedin to where in Clearwater you may want to go down 19a/Fort Harrison to your destination. Lower traffic somewhat enjoyable drive, a rarity in these parts. 15 minutes or so.

Ah! Well you just told me exactly what I wanted to hear! We are going to be near Dunedin Mease Hospital so pretty close to 19 as it is, and then to Morton Plant in Clearwater so 19 seemed the way to go. To read that is lovely! Thank you for your help!

I don't think one can make it in 15. I drove that way a numbetr of times and it is at least 30 to 45min. I am talking from mease to morton plant. The 19 drive is nice. I always enjoy that drive.

Mease on Main to Morton Plant on Ft Harrison? 5 miles @ 45 minutes on a bicycle would be would be a stretch. 19a is the way to go. 20 minutes with bad traffic will be your worst. The Safety harbor ride will be a bit more but definitely tolerable. 45 minutes I can get into Tampa from Mease.
