I recently moved in my mother who is 59, but in very poor health. She can not drive anymore due to her health and needs a cane or her walker in order to move around. She looks after herself well enough while my husband I are at work, but we have a ResponseLink hooked up in case she falls or has a problem while we are at work during the week. I know she gets bored sitting at the house all day watching tv. Are there any programs where she can get driven places and go do things in the middle of the day while my husband and I are at work? Phone numbers and website links are appreciated. We live in Hillsborough County (Town & Country area)if that helps.

There is a van that takes folks to doctors and the like but not sure about picking someone up to take them to other places but you can check here. There is a senior center right on Paula Dr in TnC. They may be able to help you
