Hi, can anyone tell me if there is public transportation in Wesley Chapel and if it connects with any areas outside of Wesley Chapel, such as Zepherhills and possibly the VAMC on BBD. I'm going to be relocating to the area and at the present time am "transportation challenged" once I am there, (at least until I earn a paycheck or 2" Any help would be appreciated and welcomed. Also can anyone tell me a preferred area to rent a house in? I need 3b/2b in a good area. Thanks so miuch

This is from HART bus line:

HART - Hillsborough Area Regional Transit - Tampa, Florida. HART Commuter Routes
HART - Hillsborough Area Regional Transit - Tampa, Florida. Local Weekday Routes (http://www.gohart.org/routes/hartline/hart-local.html - broken link)

I don't think there are any buses that will bring you close to the VA. Maybe find a temporary rental situation until you can afford a car. Then you can move to Wesley Chapel. I don't know if there are any other bus services that bring people to the VA. Maybe you can call the VA or any of the area hospitals and ask about public transportation to their hospital. University Community Hospital is across the street. Moffit Cancer Hospital is nearby as well as Shriners. If the VA is not very helpful, try the other hospitals. I have seen buses go by there. I just did not pay too much attention what bus company it was. I will try and pay attention next time I am nearby and if I see it, I will let you know.

You could call the Travel Clerk at the VAMC and ask about transportation from your home to the VAMC. Some Veterans usually service connected are eligible for transportation thru the VA. I know many VA's contract with a cab company.

You could also call the VFW or America Legion. Many of those organizations provide shuttle services for Vets to the VA's.
