The cost of remediating my CDW home was over $85,000... Fortunately this was paid by the builder...

I bought and sold a Windward home in 2005 and nothing and neither in all the other homes I bought and sold during that time frame.

Unless Dr. Dave is also a licensed Real Estate agent or Appraiser, I would reserve questions of a home's value for a Realtor or Appraiser.

With all due respect, Realtors have been wrong on home values for many years now, and I am not sure Appraisers are much more accurate.

In today's world, a home is worth what someone else is willing to write a check for, not what is assessed by a third party whose interest may be a commission or a fee.

Too many homes are selling for a significant fraction of what original list price is. Units in the same complex, with the same square footage, can vary by 100%.

An educated buyer will be as correct on home values as either Realtors or appraisers in today's market.
