FYI. The legal way to ride a bike is to go with the flow of traffic, not against it.

Only parts of US 19 is one of the 10 deadliest highways in US. Down by Clearwater. Not in Hernando County.

In most states you have to take a real road test to get a DL. Here they go around a couple of orange cones in a parking lot. The FL trained drivers are some of the worst in the country.

The only bad part of US 19 is between Tampa Road and Central Pasco. A few miles past Tampa Road, it becomes a controlled-access highway until you get to Gandy. After Central Pasco, there's nothing until you hit Spring Hill, and that's only a few traffic lights.
