Just curious if Davis Island streets get flooded when it rains.

I don't recall the island flooding but I remember at least once when the road to and from Davis Island was flooded. You couldn't get off or on the island for several hours. IIRC it happened during a hurricane that hit the east coast but dumped a lot of rain on Tampa. I don't recall any homes ever being flooded due to street flooding.

Tampaguy03 may remember since he lives in S. Tampa.

All street storm water on D.I. flows into the bay. If it's high tide and you get a few inches of rain, it will flood. But it's not too bad.

I work on the island and some areas do flood following significant rain, nothing to get too excited about though.

Hello! I am considering moving to Davis Island or Hyde Park, FL. Will you please share with me your likes, loves, dislikes, differences between the two areas?
Thank you!

I would be more worried about the rats. Davis Island is infested with rats, anyone who has lived there knows this...
