Anyone had any experience with a Walgreens Take Care Clinic? I know there is one in the Brandon location as well as a few others. I am going to back in the area in a bit, and it looked like a quicker/cheaper alternative to dealing with a doctor appt for a flu shot. Any experiences?

Default flu shot at Walgreens

Hi,

Feel comfortable having your flu shot at a Walgreens clinic. I had my last 2 done in the tarpon springs/palm harbor area and was pleased with the efficiency professional behavior of the care giver.

Default Walgreens...Spring Hill

Yes, I took my son (24) there for treatment for water in his ear, the wait time was about 1 hr. the person he saw, was professional, called in two perscriptions to the nearest Publix as they had the best price $4.00 each.
The cost of the visit was $59.00........there were four other people waiting to be seen.

The price of the visit was cheaper than if he went to my doctor who would have charged him $120.00 for the visit.

Yes, I used the one in Brandon for an ear issue. The women was great and she even hunted for the cheapest prescriptions she could find for me (well except for one that could not be helped). I have no insurance so it was nice to be able to take care of it for a reasonable price.

We had ours at the Walgreens clinic and we had a good experience but later I found out it was out of network and I better should have used an in network facility for the flu shot...but I never checked it since I thought it wouldn't be covered.
