No friends or family in the area and will be moving there so no ties to any area.

Which neighborhood would you choose?

They are both very nice communities. When you are doing your comparison chart make sure to include HOA fees, community rules and regulations, CDD fees, number of foreclosures in the neighborhood, travel time to your job, the grocery, entertainment venues, etc. Once you chart it all out one community usually stands out as being more preferable. Do your research, list the pros and cons, chart it out, and enjoy your search. Best wishes!

Though I don't live there, I've been in both communities a LOT. Personally, I prefer Seven Oaks, but this is YOUR choice. Seven Oaks is not quite as spread out to me and it's easier to get into and out of. I also prefer the pool & clubhouse at Seven Oaks. At Fishhawk, I like all the nature trails and the schools are good, particularly Bevis Elementary, which this past school year, was the highest rated public school in Hillsborough County.

Fishhawk Ranch is a Newland community; Seven Oaks is a Crown Community development, both award winners in master planned developments. The homes in each community were built by similar quality builders.

Sunnydee gave great advice. Especially important IMO is the distance between where you work and live. The two communities are miles apart and about an hour's drive.

And don't forget that Hillsborough has a higher property tax than Pasco County...
