South Tampa in and around Howard Ave - (check Creative Loafing Tampa for apartment rentals), Ybor City if you don't care about being near the water, or near Downtown St. Petersburg. You can't go wrong in any of those three

I used to live in Pensacola myself!! (I lived north of creighton and west of 9th ave near university mall). I moved to Temple Terrace about 8 years ago...which is an actual incorporated city that is directly next to Tampa. You should check it out...lots of young ppl as USF is 10 min away. Downtown is 25 min away, New Tampa 15, Brandon 15...so really Temple Terrace is convenient to everything! I loved Pensacola...I wish I could move back. Im goin to P-cola Beach in the summer though!

Tampa is a great move from there. If you're young and want to live a fast life, I'd say South Tampa, assuming you can afford it.

For a younger crowd the area near USF like Temple Terrace would be good. Ybor city is known as a party town, pretty awesome looking from what we saw a few weeks ago. Good luck.
