Gotcha. We'd be moving from a pretty urban and low income "ghetto" place anyway. I'm really looking to avoid as much of it as possible.

I agree with the above statement, actually South Tampa and Downtown areas are very high end(Channelside, Downtwon, Harbour Island, Davis Islands, Hyde Park, Beach Park, Susnet Park, Bayshore Beautiful, etc.)

Default Moving to Tampa area

Hi Shayna,

I read your post about the Tampa area. I have been looking at some of the surrounding areas like Brandon, Wesley Chapel, Gibsonton, Riverview...Places that are about 20-30 minutes from Tampa. Are these areas generally good places to live with good schools? I've also found a lot of homes that are for rent and they have association fees? What is an association fee?
