Hello,

So I'm trying to find a place in St Pete on CL (or whereever I can) - 2 bedroom under 900 in a good area. I have a 2 year old.

From what I've read Northeast and Snell are good areas. Also I've read to stay below 4th St...? But how do I know what's below 4th St? One place I've found is on 33rd Ave N and 4th St...

What avenues should I stay away from?

Ideally I'll be living in an area where I can walk or bike everywhere including the beach.

Also if anyone could give some insight into the current economy/job market in the area that would be great!

Thanks for your help!!

Also I'm interested in Madeira Beach...any input on that area would be appreciated.

The streets run North to South in St. Pete and I'd stay away from anything below 38th ave N unless it was East of 4th St or West of 49th St. Old NE/ Snell Isle is all right. If you want to walk and bike to the beach Maderia Bch, Seminole, Largo, would be good choices.

Allendale, Euclid, and neighborhoods like that are south of 38th, but they seem alright. Maybe they just look that way.

You can't bike to the beach really in St Pete. There is a bit of 'beach' there but the real beaches are gulfside. Seminole/largo good for the gulf beaches. I have friends (older) who live in Costa Del Sol in Seminole, walk to shops, nice facilities, safe and mixed community, children/older/single. Reasonable bike ride to beach at Indian Shores and lovely Boca Ciega Millenium and Seminole Town parks very close. worth a look I would say
