Looking for suggestions on what neighborhood to rent on the Gulf beach for sand and sunsets, the closer to the sand, the better. I'm 41, single, no kids, like to walk to restaurants/shops and such if possible, like to be around people. I will work in Largo at about the corner of Brian Dairy and 66th st (hw693). I'm looking to stay under 30 minute commute, and under $2,000 per month. Prefer condo living to older block beach houses, covered parking a plus! I'm guessing anywhere from Clearwater Beach down to about Madeira Beach for <30 minute commute?

TIA!

Look at Indian Rocks/Indian Shores to be close to work, great little communities on the beach.

Thanks. Indian Rocks/Shores seems to be a nice quiet community, maybe even too quiet for me? It just appears that way from an outsider's view.

Hmmmm... I think it's about 30 minutes south on 66th st. all the way down to St. Pete Beach. Very nice, beachy community and very walkable!

Thanks for the suggestion. Is that still doable within a 30 min commute? I have no reference for rush hour traffic directions.

66th st. traffic is fickle. It may be heavy, but moves along nicely. The biggest problem is sometimes sitting through a traffic light more than once. But I still think 30 minutes (40 tops) will do it.

Indian Rocks is not exactly dead - Crabby Bills is quite lively most nights they have more than one venue, there are several places to eat and drink in that location. There is even a nightclub just on Walsingham Rd, though I have no clue what its like inside. Its just over the bridge to Ulmerton Road and a lot of life. I think you would like that.
