I worked near RJ and the lakes in the complex had several gators.. We had college students who would throw things at them or walk really close to them if they were sunning on the edge of the lake. They had no idea how fast they can run.

Default Not the hammerheads!

YES,stay away from gators but don't bother the hammerheads. They're not aggressive toward humans.I has friends in Hawaii who used to skip school to go play with the hammerheads in Kewalo basin. They'd even let you ride on their backs! Not recommended, but I'm just sayin'.

Before people get the idea by what you've said that they may be able to ride a Hammerhead like a Dolphin. . let me just add that Hammerheads are well known to be cannibalistic. Many do not bother humans, but there ARE documented attacks.

Great Hammerheads are extremely dangerous.

You cannot tell much of a difference between a "Hammerhead" and a "Great Hammerhead" with an untrained eye.

Stop glorifying.

"Most of the attacks in Florida waters come from Bull Sharks, Hammer Heads and Black Tip sharks. Though these sharks are not the size of the Great White sharks we have all seen in the movies, they are still fairly large and aggressive sharks."

my point: relax and be smart. stop fear-mongering and sounding like nuts; you live in florida, chances of being killed by either a shark or an alligator are very slim.

no reason to hate these amazing animals or act like you're life is in danger every time you see one.

again relax and be smart.
