It has its nice parts, but there's lots of sprawl. I've always liked the looks of the neighborhoods around Keene and Gulf to Bay, but I don't know much about them.

What about it would you specifically like to know? Some areas are better than others - it depends on what neighborhood you're looking at.

I'm from Palm Harbor, which is a very nice area to live, and it's on the north end of Clearwater. If you're looking for nice family-friendly neighborhoods, that's a good place to look - it's near the water, with good schools nearby (not sure if you're looking with a family) and is not smack in the middle of the traffic.

Default Clearwater

the Dunedin/Palm Harbor areas are the best. North county in general is good too. I live off of Evans Rd. in Dunedin. It's great because everything is right nearby on 580 - Food/Shops/Etc. Palm Harbor tends to be a little pricier though.

All I know about Clearwater is that it is a popular haven for Scientologists. So, you may find this interesting:

There are several threads about the Scientologist and Clearwater. They don't bother anyone and stay to themselves.

You need to be more specific. Greenwood area is pretty rough- Clearwater Country Club area seems O.K. Maybe drive around and see if you'd have a problem with the area.
