Hi - I currently live in Spring Hill. I love it here. It is a great place to live.

However, my job has me travelling between Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

I need another cute little area to get closer to what I do. Holiday? New Port Richey?

Palm Harbor scares me because of the storms. What other inexpensive areas would you recommend? Hudson may be another possibility...but I realy would like to get a little south of there.

You might have the same problems in New Port Richey/Holiday area as Palm Harbor. BTW, we lived in Palm Harbor when we first arrived in Tampa Bay and loved it! We ended up buying in Wesley Chapel/Land O Lakes area because that's where a lot of the new builds are but we're really a bit far from our jobs and other fun stuff so we know what you mean about moving in closer. There are pockets in Palm Harbor that are not in a flood zone so you might consider that. How about Safety Harbor? We looked at a condo in Holiday and the ground floor was the garage with flood openings just for the very reason that the area can get flooded. But while we're further out, we are in a great spot for avoiding hurricane damage so far.

Wesley Chapel would be a nice place to live, besides the relentless traffic congestion. Citrus Park sound like it could benefit you also (northwest tampa)

Default Holiday

You don't want to live in Holiday - too many bikers & lowlifes. New Port Richey is nice, but homeowners insurance rates have tripled in the last 3 years.
