True enough. When I lived there some drunk guy had his pet iguana in his lap in the car and tried to get the iguana to steer. The cops, parked on the side of the road, saw an iguana driving a car and pulled it over.

awh, the entertainment of Clearwater. Every few months we drive to Clearwater to watch the humans HA! ...and see the ocean =)

Tornados happen everywhere in Centra and Northern Florida. When they are over the water they are called "water spouts".

no i been here for 13 years and no but water ones off the coast yes at times but not land. hurrance is our big thing here but it's safe. thunderstorms big too.

There have been some damaging tornadoes in Clearwater. One was about 10 years ago. Did a bit of damage, tore up some mobile homes, picked up a steel playset at my daughters babysitters and threw it into the next yard.
Back around 20 years ago there was one that about destroyed a mobile home park in Pinellas Park.
But as you can see I am talking about 2, there were a few other small ones, over 20 years time so it really is not an issue.
