Hello,
I am moving to Tampa at the end of next month and I was wondering about the best areas for people with children. I am a paralegal and my husband is in the music side. I have three kids ages 3, 7, 9. I'm looking for an area with lots of children, close to stores, and schools. I also don't want to be out in the middle of nowhere. Not worried about commute time as of yet. I've heard that Town N Country may be a good spot to look at. I also heard Lutz maybe. Any help is welcome.
Thanks

Depending on your price range, I also second the recommendations for Westchase, Citrus Park, and Carrollwood.

I am going to be renting. I want to live in a middle class area. Not all rich types or anything. I won't be piling on the money for a little while.

Lutz on the Hillsborough County side 33558, 33548, you can find homes to rent in that price range here and also remember that rent is negotiable. You don't want to end up paying more than your neighbors just because you didn't ask or negotiate.

Riverview is too far south and not that much to do down there, we were very disappointed when we first started looking....cookie cutter neighborhoods but newer not as established like in Lutz/Carrollwood for example...it felt really far from everything.......I wouldn't move there, I know the homes are cheap, but there's a reason for that and that IS because they are in the middle of nowhere pretty much.....
