hello,

we moved here recently from austria.

we have kid and need to send good school.

planning to move west chase and rent apartment for time being.

I would like to know how the school board select the school for my kid.

the apartment that I am looking for is 5miles away from "Deer Park Elementary School", buts there is another closest school.

How do I send my kid to "Deer Park Elementary School"..?

Please let me know.

Thanks
Angelo

Hi Angelo, welcome to City-Data. If you put the address of where you plan to rent this should give you the elementary school for that address:

If your address shows that you are not zoned for Deer Park, you can try, though no promises, for school choice. I was told by a principal with this economy, they are not allowing as many school choices. It is worth a try. The other school may be just as good. You can check the ratings on www.greatschools.net. Type in your school and see what the parents/teachers/students say about that school.

It is probably too late to apply this year, but check the previous reply's website for the date to apply.
