Hi, we wanted the same things when we moved to Tampa 3 years ago. Westchase is a nice area. Carrollwood homes are older like you said. There are a couple newer developments off Race Track Road near the Westchase area called Waterchase and Highland Park. Both have beautiful homes and neighborhood pools and gyms. Lots of stay at home moms with tons of kids in both neighborhoods. Worth checking out.

I know absolutely nothing about Deer Park but it looks like newer homes near the area you want to be:

Hi, I am looking to relocate to the wesley Chapel, Lutz area with a middle schooler. Can anyone help with advice like Wiregarss Freedom high schools or Meadow Point in Wesley Chapel subdivision?

Hello I lived in Ombersley for many years before moving here with our two children - who are now late teens but came here in elem school, we found that living in Seminole - near to beaches in a settled community was more like we were used to, close enough to get to places and work, but away from major arterial roads, intersections and airports.
You will never replicate where are you are now, but the new modern subdivisions are IMO not where you want to be, it's nothing like village England.

True that most of Carrollwood is older homes, but there is still quite a lot of vacant land here and there are definitely new homes being built now. Because of the economy, it's pretty slow though. Most of the builders are doing contracts to build and less speculation (hallelujah!). And as Stewabby linked previously, there are quite a few Carrollwood communities that were built within the last 5 years.
