SOS! My hubby and I are in our second year here in Tampa and we can still count the town's palatable restaurants on one hand. We go out to eat a lot and almost all of the restaurants we try in town are duds. Any suggestions? We're not married to one type of restaurant. It can be fancy, casual, ethnic cuisine, American. What are the hidden gems?

Iavarone's at Himes and Hamilton, one light north of Waters Ave. They are not open on Mondays, though.

The link that Crowgirl has provided has so many of the good rest's here in the area it is worth taking a look at it...I have found so many good rest here in the area it is just awesome. It really doesn't compare at all with all the many diners we left in NJ!!
Hope you find some of them to your liking!

OP-can you list the restaurants you do like? I'm always up for suggestions for new places.

Good idea. I'll keep the ones I was ready to tell about secret now for the same reason.

Haha, I am sure the owners of those fine establisments appreciate that in return for providing you a superb dining experience. First thing I do when I like an establishment is ensure they recieve as little business as possible.
