We move to NPR next week. My daughter and grandkiddo are coming with us and this will be a huge change for a 13 year old. We'll only be there a few days and my grandkiddo will have a birthday. She probably won't have any friends that quickly so it will be up to us to make sure she has a nice birthday. Could I please pick your brains for something nice to take her to in that area? We'll still be moving in so running over to Disney is out and I'd really like it to be closer to where we're at. Any ideas to make this big change easier for this doll?
Thank you for any help

Although a far cry from its glory days but Weeki Wachee Water park and adjacent Buccaneer Bay is open on the weekends.Weeki Wachee Water Park
Could be fun for the kids, or at the back of the same parking lot you can rent a canoe or kayak and spend 4 hours floating down the Weeki Wachee river.
Its been a few years since i've been to these attractions so might be a good idea to call ahead to make sure they are still viable options.

A co-worker of mine just had a bar-mitzvah at Busch Gardens in the Africa / Serengeti exhibit and I hear it was a BIG hit with the children. Busch Gardens is relatively close by.

There's a place on State Road 54 near the junction of SR56...it's on the south side of the road and it used to be an old World Gym...it's now a really cool place that has a rock climbing wall, laser tag, and a bunch of stuff kinda like Celebration Station in Clearwater. It's very fairly priced, and kids in that age range would have a blast...maybe someone who knows what it's called can pipe in here. I think it's considered Wesley Chapel out there.
