Hi Guys,

I'll be in Tampa next Saturday (03/06) for business for a week. I will fly back the Sunday after at Tampa Airport. I will have to attend conferences and stuffs Mon-Fri in Tampa. Other than that, I can pretty much go anywhere else.

In FL, I have been to Sarasota, Siesta Key, St.Petersburg, Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Key West, Ft.Lauderdale, The Key.

I have been to Universal Studio and Epcot last year. I hated Epcop and loved US. Will the experience be the same if I revisit US? Is sea world worth checking out?

Where and what would you recommend me to go/do?

Thanks,

If you are into Beer tasting, at 2pm on Saturday in Ybor City the Florida Brewers Guild is holding its annual Beerfest at Centro Ybor in Ybor City....also in Tampa, Lightning Hockey game on 3/6 at 730pm at the Forum downtown; on Sunday 3/7 in downtown the last day of the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts(one of the naitons largest) is downtown Tampa along the Riverwalk--live music, food and lots of ART and people watching. On Sunday evening there is an "oscar Night" event at Tampa Theater in downtown Tampa.

Not sure what your interests are, but you can check out the calendars in the creativeloafing.com website or tbt.com.

Been to Pass-a-Grille Beach? Fort Desoto North Beach? You ever Kayak the Hillsbrough River? Interested in Biking along the Tampa Bayshore? Or renting off road bikes and checking out the trails at Winderness park system, Alafia River State Park? Ever been to Busch Gardens or the Florida Aquarium, Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Museum of Art, Dali Museum?? Tarpon Springs Greek Village/Sponge Docks? Enjoy a Hand Rolled Cigar at King Coronas in Ybor City?

Give us some more ideas of what you enjoy doing?

The beer tasting sounds interesting. How does it work? How much does it cost? When does it end?

Hit the strip clubs on Dale Mabry. I hear some of them have a great lunch buffet.

Thanks guys, I will arrive TPA late Sunday so I will miss the Beer Fest. I like outdoor activities, exploring around, finding new/weird things that are unique to the area, night scenes (clubbing, bars, fine dining...), meeting cool people...

Tampaguy03, All the things that you listed sound good to me. Is there a website which has more details of the attractions/events?

Where else in FL should I go during that weekend?

Thanks,

How about the Renaissance Festival? Always a lot of fun and you definitely meet some 'different' ppl. I suggest you go early if you want to avoid huge crowds plus get a decent parking spot

Home of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival!

I would highly recommend an evening at Skippers Smokehouse... corner of Skipper Rd. and Nebraska.
