I do not love the people who freak and go 40 MPH in the left lane and cause a chain of braking cars!
Unfortunately these people are all over the bay area.......where are no views or pretty bridges! I guess that's our punishment for being a "retirement" state! everyone is in a retirement state of mind when their driving.....I think we should remove the speed limit sings, no one care about them at all anyways and drive 20+ miles UNDER the speed limit when it's NICE OUTSIDE!

I was even entertaining the idea of writing a letter to whomever is publishing the driving manual to let them know they should put it in bold large capital letters that the left lane was made for PASSING, not eating, texting, emailing, sleeping, shaving, putting make up on, etc etc etc that people here do!

All these people doing this should buy an RV, that comes with a bathroom and kitchen and they can be multitasking in the right lane in one of those!

Never experienced the 40 mph cars - mostly people are tailgating when you're going 70 mph (the speed limit).

Big hurry, I guess.

I find there's a lot of people who either drive way too fast/crazy or who drive way too slowly/unaware of what is going on around them. Too many people driving under both extremes and not enough actually driving properly!

Maybe its me that speeding - I think the speed limit is 65 mph over the bridge.

Learned to drive in Germany - and spent many years over there where you can only pass from the left lane. Takes getting used to driving in the USA where people weave in all the lanes to pass.
