I guess it depends on traffic, but an hour seems like an awfully long time compared to the distance. Assuming you would travel I-275, it looks like an easy commute. Maybe someone who really does this will weigh in. Most of my travels to the Bradenton/Sarasota area are done on I-75.

Why not just live closer to where you work?
Or work closer to where you live?
Its the logical thing to do.
Sure saves gas and gives you more time at home to do other things.
