Hello everyone I know you get these questions alot as I have been scouring these boards.

My husband has a job prospect right by the airport on the South side.. I see lots about Wesley Chapel & Lutz and I am wondering if there are similar areas on the South side of Tampa?

We live way NW of Atlanta now in suburbia, cookie cutter homes, cul de sacs, active communities with tons of kids and pay about $800 a year in HOA fees. The neighborhood we live in is huge runs 1.9 miles end to end and that is a little large. We have one of the nicer subdivisions in the city we live in but in this city we don;t have gated communities or neighborhoods with homes in the $700s or something.... But I like where we live a lot! OK so I wish the homes weren't cookie cutter but honestly I will take that over no HOA and one nice house next to sanford & son or something (exaggerating but still..)

Schools are most important to me... My kids are 9, 7, and 2 months. So soon enough I will be using elementary, middle and hs all at once.

We would like a 5 bedroom 3000+ sq feet home with yard for less than $350K if we can. Super safe, and well now that I have been in GA so long I would love a "neighborly" feel.

Another thing... if there was an area a specific subdivision even that you knew of with rentals and homes (especially new homes or nearly new) I would be more favorable to that so that we could rent and then buy if we loved it and if we loved it the kids would not have to change schools again.

Thank You so much...

This is tough. I'd suggest for now (not much time here to post), that you look on the Lennar and MI Homes websites. Both are building larger and newer homes in your price range in the Southshore area, but I fear they will be too far from the airport. You may have to either commute further or settle for a much older home to get what you want. Research the schools first, particularly the high schools --> http://www.sdhc.k12.fl.us/.

I don't know the area to help you with location. Be sure you are figuring in the prices of Insurance and Taxes when deciding how much home you can afford. Unlike GA, there are no Income Taxes in Florida, meaning the Property Tax is going to be higher.
