I think I am going to need more and more help until I get to know the area .

The apartment I rented is furnished, but there is no desk/chair and that is essential to me. Can anyone tell me if there are some Emmaus or something similar? Or where I can find some used furniture? I would prefer to avoid the Walmart-look , and it is not that cheap to get a comfortable computer chair. It doesn't need to be a "computer desk".

Any idea would be very welcome. Thanks a lot.

I love IKEA. What about them? They have good quality furniture for not a ton of money.

Me too - love Ikea
Look on craigs list and around the tons of junk/'antique' shops here - dont know where you are, but in this market, you can make offers on furniture in those places and often they will accept them.

I am in a hotel on Hillsborough until Friday, and will be in Carrollwood.

IKEA has nice stuff, but I would prefer used and very cheap, since it is not what I will want at the end (I have little space). When I settle down more permanently, I will buy a big one, and fitting my space.

I started Craiglist, I would love some small stores/junk. I don't know the area at all.

Thank you... I went to Nebraska... and found exactly what I wanted, a high desk cabinet (does that have a name?) that fits in my space, has a lot a shelves that I can pull out... for $75. Also found a chair, comfortable if not very modern. A coffee table for $7, a tiny bookshelves for $5.... and some other junk. I tried Craiglist, contacted some people, but you have to drive all around the country and maybe their stuff is damaged. I saw "mine", and they delivered it to me for $25.

Nobody knows this area? There are 5 or 6 stores almost side by side or across the street. I will go back for more. I need a bistrot table to eat, also very small, the apt is small and there is NO table NO chair .
