What's the best donut shop between the beaches & Tampa? No chains please.

Fay's @49th St. N. and Park Blvd. in Pinellas Park is pretty good. I think it's called Fay's. Maybe Fran's. Anyway, that's where it's at.

It's called Fray's and I second that opinion. There's a store in St. Pete on 16th Street North just south of 54th Avenue North and one in Kenneth City on 66th Street North just south of 46th Avenue North, next to the Kmart.

Thanks, I'll give Fray's a try.
Any shops near the beaches?

I love Fray's.

There is one close to my house. The blueberry cake doughnuts are the best around!

We happened to drive by Fray's and I remembered reading this thread so we stopped in anticipating some great donuts.

Walked in the door and I had to look around for the dunkin donuts logo and colors. This is a dunkin donuts without the name and logo........ all the same donuts and the same names for the donuts.......and as with all the other dunkins, imho, okay, but nowhere near the quality of the past.
Glad we didn't make a special trip to find this one.

If you are still looking, the best doughnut shop we have found is Lighthouse in Indian Rocks Beach on Gulf Blvd. It is family run and very small, doughnuts sometimes sell out during season, but they are very good.
