You will have all the AC work you can handle as May gets here it will be near 90. Maybe you can check my AC as it's never been looked at since new in 04.

as a homeowner, a simple residential split system, while its always good to have it looked at from time to time from a proffessional, as long as you keep up with the air filter, keep your outdoor unit free of leaves dirt and debris, and if your handy, turnoff the disconnect/power at the unit outside and make sure all your electrical connections are tight...you should be allright!

It runs ok but never has cooled the house worth a darn on 90+ days. Change the filter every month during high use and no leaves or stuff clogging the outside unit. The drain gets clogged about two times a year and i have to get a vac to suck the line free of big slime balls.

Yeah probably not a bad idea then to at least have a tech come out and check the unit for good measure. Someone reputable to come check the refrigerant charge, airflow and over all system performance. If all that checks out, most likely have him do a load calculation on the house to make sure the system is sized properly.

I plan on doing that this May. Thanks for the tips.
