Hi all-
I'm traveling to Tampa shortly on a scouting mission and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some apartment complexes or condos worth checking out in the SoHo/Hyde Park area. I'm looking for a 1 bed with den or 2 bed. I'd llike to keep it under $1000/mo. I appreciate your assistance!

Check out craigslist and tbo.com for private rentals in that area, some complexes include Post, but many more are smaller, independant, or small mngmt companies may run them. My friends that live in the area found their's thru walking/driving around the area, on line rentals, mngmt companies. A friend of mine lives in a private condo in a 15 unit place on Albany Ave with a pool, 2 bedroom/2 bath for $1150...

Thanks, tampaguy! You seem to be the resident expert on here. I'm going to be in town this weekend. The Post places looked nice, but a little pricey. I'll see what I can dig up on CL.

TBG3 is right, there are a lot of places including garage apts for rent that you won't find unless you drive around.
Just be careful on CL due to scammers or folks who are about to be foreclosed on.

You might want to check out The Cove on Westshore, older apts but right on the bay. There are a few other apts on Westshore that will be cheaper because they are not in SoHo but very close.
