Also 2 over 50, 2 vehicles paid for, no citations. $90 a month for both.
Good coverage. Travelers via AAA.

Shop around!

While very true you can raise deductibles a little to save more on premiums. Also, you wont need comp/collission on a 10 year old vehicle.

You MUST carry PIP in FL for automobiles.

I used to sell insurance and these are the best ways YOU can control your rate. Other than that you are at the mercy of your credit score, driving record, age, marital status, where you live, if the car is stored in a garage or not and the vehicle you drive.

Yes, you certianly. Give it a rest already on the uninsured drivers.

Its a fact of life in all states. Like it or not. Your "insurance card" does not control proof of insurance. The State database does. You could have a valid card, no insurance. You could have a expired card and plenty of insurance.

What do you want them to do? Put out a fleet of tow trucks to follow police cars on car stops hoping for a tow?

Have you checked with the Hartford (http://hartfordauto.com)? They are said to have OK rates. The claim handling is also pretty reliable.
