Not so much concerned with " healthy " breakfasts,

but I like to go on Sunday for breakfast.

Any suggestions?

Not interested in the chains like Dennys or Bob Evans, looking for

more of a local flavor.

Thanks.

Bob

Dave's on 9th Street in St. Pete.

Three Coins Diner on Nebraksa, Pine Grove and Nicko's Diner (authentic prefabricated diner building) on Florida. All in Tampa.

Not sure if they are open on Sunday but go to Ybor City for cuban breakfast sandwich and a cup of cuban coffee.

We really like Daily Eats in South Tampa. The Brunchery out past Brandon is really good but for whatever reason The Brunchery in South Tampa is not very good.

The Brunchery has been Gone from Brandon for 3 years or so... its now out Fishhawk way on Lithia Pinecrest. Overrated and overpriced to me...

Best place I've found within 10 miles is The New York Diner... corner of Rt. 60 and Valrico Rd. next to Walgreens. Real deal here... I'm going Sunday morning while she sleeps in lol.

In Carrollwood there's J Christopher's, Nicki's Omelette & Grill and Papito's Cuban Cafe. First Watch and Mimi's are good too but they're chains. If you'd like a food feast (buffet) try Sunday brunch at Whiskey Joes and Oyster Catchers, both west-bound on SR60 aka Courtney Campbell Causeway.

I knew it had moved, but thought it was still in Brandon. I always thought the prices seemed reasonable and I liked the owner.

I will second the NY Diner, it's cheap and good eats. Never had their breakfast though. Owner seems nice.

Papito's is fantastic and cheap-great Cuban food. Too bad it's so far away from us. We have a friend who lives close by, so when we visit her we eat there.

I'm a fan of Lenny's on US 19 between Drew Street and Gulf to Bay. I avoid it on Saturday and Sunday mornings.. Very busy... great atmosphere.. Waitresses are old style... they remember your order, take care of the little details, joke around.. They seem to enjoy working there.... even when it is insanely busy.

Great variety of breakfast foods. Only open for breakfast and lunch.
