I am a school cook for a small village in the interior of the state. Our state has a small population and we are isolated a lot from the rest of the country (Alaska). We are also requiring a test for anyone that comes in to the state. All of this helps to at least keep infection numbers down, but we are still getting a a spike in numbers since the state opened up. Most of our school districts are planning for 3 scenarios. Opening up completely, opening up only to a limited number of kids with others on home school, or having all kids on homeschool. Because we had 1 quarter last year that had all kids on homeschool, we learned a lot. I really hope that we do have at least some kids back in school, but for me, if we do only a partial re-open, it means more work, more paperwork, ect. I don't know if I will get help either. We are seriously looking at the possibility of kids eating in classrooms, so that will be interesting to plan for.
