I understand the difference between a Lesson Plan and a Unit Plan - the lesson plan contains the planned activity for the day while a unit plan focuses on a more longitudinal plan, a series of lessons given over several meetings with some coherent narrative or objective; but what is an annotated unit plan?

Im not exactly sure.

However, a lesson plan does not have to be limited to one day.

Try this: http://www.canisius.edu/images/userImages/eduweb/Page_9688/Appendix%20D%20Annotated%20Unit%20Plan%20Outline%2 0.pdf (broken link)

I went ahead and looked it up b/c I'm studying this stuff too. I had never heard of it--well wish me luck, I have my certification test in 2 weeks.

LOL, that's funny. I actually go to Canisius, and it's a Common Assignment that nobody I talk with seem to have a good/clear grasp of.

I HAD TO DO ONE OF THESE FOR MY TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM THIS YEAR. AFTER YOU PLAN A UNIT, THIS SERVES AS A RESOURCE. IT HAS A LIST OF TEXTBOOKS, WEBSITES, VIDEOS, BOOKS, ETC THAT YOU PLAN TO USE IN YOUR UNITI PLAN. YOU CAN INCLUDE A DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THE RESOURCE IS, HOW IT WILL BE USED IN YOUR UNIT, AND THE REASONS WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO USE THIS IN YOUR UNIT/LESSONS.

HERE IS A WEBSITE OF MY CLASSES ANNOTATED UNIT PLANS. YOU CAN LOOK AT THESE TO GET AN IDEA. t213 » home. JUST USE THE SUBJECT LINKS ON THE LEFT TO GET SOME EXAMPLES.

HOPE THIS HELPS.
