A friend of mine is a foreign language teacher here. She splits her time between two schools, but it's A day/B day rotations, so she doesn't have to drive across town in the middle of the day.

At the school I used to work for, the teachers were given an extra "planning period" for the commute, even though it only took about 10 minutes to drive, so it worked out well for them in some ways.
