I hear ya! I am having the same frustrations finding a place. Cannot be far enough away from people for my taste.

You can find listings for a place with acreage out in bf nowhere. Then you look at the aerial and there is a freakin' house on each side!

There was a woman and her husband who did this in TN, she posted by the name Young Lisa I believe. What ever happened to that thread?

and holy crap the land they bought is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could live like that. If I won the lottery and didn't need a job I would move to the smoky mountains tomorrow. Absolutely stunning.

ETA: looks looks like the husband and wife built this house almost entirely by themselves. Incredible.
