I want to take that river cruse down by Chattanooga
And also see the Aquarium
Would like to see Jack Daniels Distillery
And take a tour of the Lodge Cast Iron Skillet Factory
Would also like too walk the Trail of Tears..

I'm surprised to see Frozen Head up there. It's my least favorite of all of the state parks I have been to. What do you think is special about it?

I think anyone interested in East Tennessee simply must visit The Museum of Appalachia. It will show how and why the area is the way it is. It gave me a deep appreciation for the land and its people. I cannot stress enough how important it is to visit this place and I am glad that it was one of the first things we did when we moved to Tennessee.

Welcome to the Museum of Appalachia

I forgot Shiloh & Pinson Mounds. I remember taking a field trip to these in Elementary school & they're pretty cool.

I would also advise a visit to a few county/town squares. Lynchburg comes to mind, but there are also vibrant county squares in Murfreesboro, Franklin, Gallatin, and many other communities. Very quaint and gives you an idea of how people really live in the communities.

And definitely take a trip down the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville down towards Leipers' Fork.

Default Got to see "Mule on the bluff."

One spot you've got to see is on Highway 70 in the town of Liberty in DeKalb County, Tennessee.
It is "The Mule" painted on the side of the bluff in the year 1905, and it is still there. I saw it 11/26/2010. I look for it each time I have driven by in the past fifty years.
Apparently over the years someone has been climbing the bluff and repainting.
It is now black the original color. In the past it has been painted red and even silver. A young college man from the area who became a doctor apparently painted it with coal tar in 1905.
Be sure and see the "mule on the bluff".

I think their list is ok, but...

I would pick the Ripley's aquarium over the Chattanooga one.

And I would pick the Natchez Trace Parkway over Graceland.

Have you been to Chatt's aquarium when it had two buildings?

No, I haven't been in several years. Much improved? (There was nothing wrong with it when I went; it was just a little dull and limited to freshwater fish primarily.)
