Well I don't know for sure...
We've "heard" that one was coming for a few years now!
First the rumor was that it was gonna be directly behind Logan's Roadhouse, facing S. Walnut.
Then it was gonna be where the Cookeville Mall currently is(after they tear it down)...
The latest rumor is that it will be built in the area near Sam's Club on the south side of I-40.

So I wish I knew! I believe that the rumor that they are coming has some validity.I'm sure they are someday just don't know when yet.If I see anything in the Herald-Citizen or hear anything at city hall I'll let you know!

BTW-I worked at Lowe's for three years when I was in my early 20's & it was a good job.Great employee stock sharing program!

That would be my kind of Job. I have been a police/fire dispatcher for 10 years and would love to do that up there, but not an easy job to find, at least I can't find one yet.

I clicked on the link and it didn't work for me. I wonder if there was anything about Monterey that is suppose to be haunted. Have heard haunted stories all my life that was pretty entertaining.

OH!! Thank you so much. You have made me soooo happy to get to read the story behind this one. I have heard of it by the older folks but not the whole story. I am printing this off to give to some of my relatives.

Thank you again, Jennifer

Oh - another that I remember them telling me about was the ghost called the old Riddle woman. I think her name was Maroshie?? This may have happened more near Crawford or Hanging Limb. I grew up in a little community before there called Lovejoy. They said she was headless and would hang around the area because she was looking for her head. They called them Haints when I was growing up. Loved sitting around listening to the old timers tell these tales. Could listen for HOURS!!
