We'll be up clearing our new property (Jamestown tn) in 12 days and I am wondering where I can haul the yard trash (tree's, twigs and leaves)? If there is a dump, does anyone know where and how much they charge? Thanks

Usually one will call the forestry dept and get a burn permit and just burn that stuff if you are not inside the city limits. If you are in the city you will need to call and see when their scheduled day is for chipping. I dont believe there is a charge. Im not sure about the county dump as each county is a little different in what they will accept.

We burn ours all the time. We've got a local guy that does the garbage for us - just regular house trash - but the rest goes to the burn pile out back. Permits are easy and free. Call Dept of Forestry, give them the address you're burning at and what you'll be burning and they give you the permit number. No biggie.

Just saying...."ONLY"...tree's, twigs and leaves can be burned when you call for a permit..... You have to call on Friday for a weekend permit..if it's windy they will not issue one...

We dont have any water yet, so I do not feel safe to burn, I really need a dumping site where I can haul it and leave it. Does anybody want some free wood? lol

There are 2 sites, that I know of, one in Clarkrange on Hwy 127 and another also on Hwy 127 closer towards Jamestown. May need to have Fentress county plates on your truck to be able to use those places, not sure.
