Hey everyone,
How is the weather up there in Tennessee, today? Wish I was there. Can't wait to move.

Not cold today (now it's dropped to around 32), upper 40s I'd guess, lots of rain here in NETN. The NC and VA highlands had lots of ice (friends in Banner Elk said power lines were down).

Tomorrow, it's supposed to be 56! Woohoo!!!

We're not too far from Niota. We get the same weather. It was 20 and sunny this morning. It is supposed to get to the mid 50s today.

I was in South Florida a couple of days ago. I do like the winter weather down there.

Are you sure? It was 24 degrees at 7:30 this morning and now it's almost 11AM and it's 37 where I live. It's supposed to soar to 50 by 3:00P.

I'm headed out with gloves in about 15 minutes. I was making sure it was above freezing before I hit any potentially icy windy mountain roads today.

Yeah, I'm really tired of Florida. Been here since I was 6weeks old. It IS NOT the place I grew up in.
I would like to live in Tennessee where it's pretty close to what I enjoyed as a child and young adult. The last 10 - 12 years it has changed so much around here. I love the wide-open pastures, nature (rural area) mountain views.
It is really hot in Lake Worth, Florida today. We took our Granddaughter (4 yr old) fishing but we didn't catch anything. She is pretty good at casing her rod n reel.
When I retire I want to be able to spend some time with her and do what I want to do while she is in school. Work if I want to. That would be a great feeling. I have thought about working (part-time) from home, if I can find something I like and that doesn't cost a lot to get started. I would have to continue working if I retire and stay in So Florida.

Hope you all have a great week-end.

Well, it not winter weather this week-end. It is really hot. We tried to take my grand daughter fishing, but couldn't catch anything, maybe because it is soo hot. If we would have gone earlier before it warmed up, we might have at least had a few bites.
I'm suprised that you know where Niota is, everyone else says "where in the world is niota?'.

Thanks for the info.

I know exactly what you mean. I not only hated 80 degree winters, but the change in SOFL even more than the weather. It just worn me down and I lived there 30 years. I came from the Lake Worth area too. I see you are in Palm Springs. When will you be moving here? It's was 37 here when I woke up and 54 right now at 5:34 p.m. It was a gorgeous sunny day in Murfreesboro today. Perfect weather.

I hope to move up there sometime after April 2010. I will retire on April 1, 2010. YEAHHHHH. And then as soon as my house sells. Hopefully the housing market will improve by then. And then, look out Niota, here I come.
