You need to check the EPA website. I live just north of Chattanooga, I have been here for about a year. I also now suddenly have chronic asthma? I have never had a breathing problem before ever! I am thirty years old.

Smile People Wisdom

Michigan: I would say 12 years is long enough to gain a few friends. What about hobbies? What about joining a group that would share your ideas? What about work acquaintances? Guess you tried all of these. Church groups? Age recognition?
Personally, I am not your usually friendly Joe. I do however enjoy intelligent conversation in whatever. I usually try and listen more that talk, it brings out their likes and dislikes. Most people are more than willing to share those without asking.
Oh well, if all this fails, you might consider moving to another area near friends or family.
Good luck in all your endeavors.

If you will noticed in my post I said I had friends in Michigan and Florida. There are a lot of hilbillies everywhere but there does seem to be a lot more in Chattanooga. When I go to Nashville to visit it does seem like the mentality is a little different there. More of a diverse crowd.

Michigan there was no problems probably becaused i was raised there. florida there probably no problems there because most are from the north or somewhere else.

In Chattanooga, they were born here and some have never been anywhere else, so different ways are not acceptable.

My husband applied for a job here once and they told him they don't hire yankees, so you tell me?

Well, I guess life can be what you make of it..
I've never had trouble making friends. Folks from different areas do things sometimes differently. I can respect that. Maybe that helps, in making new friends.
I'd like to think that it does..
